Under the patronage of Britta Schade (Senior Head of Department at DLR for Quality and Product Assurance), DLR's 5th Conference on EEE Parts took place in Jena on 4th and 5th April 2017. With about 100 registered participants, the event was well booked and enjoyed its growing interest every year. Employees from our Parts Agency and the EEE Center attended the conference.

The first day of the conference was marked by contributions from DLR, ESA and partners from the EEE Parts manufacturing industry, the second from user-specific contributions and topics. As in the previous years, a house fair was again held, in which the participants were able to draw attention to themselves with posters, roll-ups and exhibits. The well-attended house fair, organized in the rooms of Jena Optronik, concluded a first successful conference day.

With contributions to quality assurance, hazardous substances in space travel, NewSpace and COTS topics (Commercial Of The Shelf) and much more, there was plenty of interesting and discussion material on the second day of the conference. We are convinced that this event has set a number of points, which will be further discussed and lead to new technology studies and qualification projects.

As mentioned above, Tesat supports DLR in technology and component qualification tasks and also represents DLR in an international panel such as the G 12 Committee.
